Nobel Prize Winner Acquires A Vili Nikolov Painting

“I gave in to the temptation and bought a fascinating painting in Bulgaria, one that seems to embody the collective spirit of Bulgarian villages; it is so warm and full of compassion”, told us the Chinese writer Mo Yan, winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature 2012, in his official speech yesterday as he accepted the Doctor Honoris Causa degree conferred to him by Sofia University.

24 Chasa learned this was a canvas by the painter Vili Nikolov whose latest solo exhibition is in the Minerva gallery, located in a renowned hotel in the capital city.

“Since I am one of his art collectors, I am convinced that this artist will achieve world fame”. “Today, we are buying just one painting; who knows how much it will appreciate in 100 years? Millions!”, I quipped to my daughter.

“His paintings are magnificent. When I go back to China, I will write something specially about him” promised Mo Yan.

Vili Nikolov’s Enchanted Story

Like sunbeams reflecting in an autumn forest touch us the paintings in the latest solo exhibition of Vili Nikolov. It is a magical world, one overflowing with colors and secret tales. An enchanting story, trustingly told by an artist with the soul of a poet.

“Sparkling with light, bewitched by colors and secret messages: this is the radiant world of the artist Vili Nikolov who trustingly shares the fairy tale of his soul in his latest exhibition”, the critics wrote.

Vili Nikolov specialized in modern art in Cuenca, Spain. His exhibition can be seen in the Minerva gallery in grand hotel Sofia.
